Cinémas Palme D'Or in Palm Desert presents an exclusive screening of the new film "The Longest Ride" and a live, in-person Q&A session by director George Tillman Jr. The event takes place this Sunday Evening (April 12) after the 5:30 pm screening of the motion picture. Seating is first come, first serve, please arrive early for ticket availability.

"The Longest Ride" was adapted from the romantic drama by author Nicholas Sparks and tells the story of the lives of a young couple that are intertwined with a much older man as he reflects back on a lost love while he's trapped in an automobile crash. THE LONGEST RIDE stars Scott Eastwood (son of Clint Eastwood), Britt Robertson and Alan Alda.

Filmmaker George Tillman Jr. came to the forefront of filmmaking after selling his independent film "Scenes from the Soul" for $1 million to Savoy films. Tillman wrote and directed this movie for a tiny budge of $150,000. He followed this up with another big hit in his sultry film "Soul Food." He has also directed "Men of Honor," starring Robert De Niro and Cuba Gooding Jr. and the film about rapper Notorious B.I.G. "Notorious."

"The Longest Ride" is rated PG-13 for some sexuality, partial nudity, and some war and sports action and has a run-time of two hours and 19 minutes.

Cinemas Palme D'Or is located at the Westfield Shopping Plaza at 72840 Highway 111, Palm Desert, CA.
