'Alice Through the Looking Glass' has European premiere

The new Disney film "Alice Through the Looking Glass," had its European premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square Theatre in London's Leicester Square on May 10, 2016, in London, United Kingdom. What should be a most joist of occasions, was an event that was missing one of the stars of the film - the recently departed Alan Rickman. This is Rickman's last film to be released.

This sequel to "Alice in Wonderland," is based on the novel by Lewis Carroll and continues the story of Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska), three years after her first visit to Wonderland. Returning from a sea voyage she meets up with Absolem (Alan Rickman), encounters a magical looking-glass and finds herself back into the nonsensical world of Underland.

Tim Burton did not return to the director's chair for this sequel. Taking his place is writer/director James Bobin, whose last directing job was for "Muppets Most Wanted."

"Alice Through the Looking Glass," will bring this families and Oscar watchers alike to the movies. "Alice in Wonderland," won two Oscars. Colleen Atwood won for wonderful and outlandish costumes and the film took home a second Oscar for visual effects. So, it's pretty certain that "Alice Through the Looking Glass," has pretty good Oscar potential.

"Alice Through the Looking Glass," is rated PG for fantasy action/peril and some language and has a run-time of 108 minutes.
