The Oscars to celebrate the music of the movies, including Prince's 'Purple Rain'
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences released news yesterday that they will celebrate the music of the movies. This celebration includes the West Coast restoration premiere of "King of Jazz," a special screening of "Purple Rain," with members of the cast & crew, and a live concert celebration of The Black Movie Soundtrack, which will feature the Oscar-winning recording artist Common and special guests. The events are set to take place at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn
