TV star Chris O'Donnell receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce bestowed upon actor Chris O'Donnell a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, March 5, 2015, in the heart of Hollywood, California. He received a star for his work in television. Currently O'Donnell is star of the long-running hit television series "NCIS: Los Angeles." The show airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on CBS.

O'Donnell received the 2,544th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and his star is located in front of Jameson's Irish Pub, located at 6681 Hollywood Boulevard. On hand to help celebrate with Chris' extended family and his castmates from his hit television series.

Hollywood Chamber President/CEO Leron Gubler presided over the event listing O'Donnell's lengthily list of credits. The first guest speaker was filmmaker Paul Brickman, who cast O'Donnell in his first role in the film "Men Don't Leave." He said, "He's had three decades of a really terrific career. Congratulations Chris, this couldn't happen to a nicer guy."

Two-time Grammy Award winner and castmate with Chris O'Donnell in "NCIS: Los Angeles," LL Cool J was next to the podium. He commented, "Chris took a risk, leaving his film career to come to the show. He helped to set a positive vibe on the set from day one. He absolutely deserves this moment, because he put the work in - it's a long journey from Winnetka Chris. I want to thank you for helping me grow in my life. By working with you, I have become a better guy and you've been a huge part of that. I appreciate you for that. I pray that this is just the beginning of a huge run for you and that you have much more success after this."

Los Angeles Councilman Mitchell Farrar was last to the podium and stated, "Creativity, artistry and dreams - these are the real currency here in Hollywood. As a fellow Irishman, and the fact that we are right here in front on an Irish Pub, we are here to celebrate you and I honor with you with a certificate of award for this occasion."

Upon receiving his award, Chris O'Donnell said, "Thank you to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. I don't think I would be here if it weren't for my job in 'NCIS: Los Angeles.' This is an amazing thrill. To get this star really means so much, thank you all for coming."
