Breaking: Oscar winner Faye Dunaway to participate in 2016 TCM Film Festival


Turner Classic Movies (TCM) announced today (in a press release) that screen legend and Oscar-winning actress Faye Dunaway will be attending two events at the 2016 TCM Classic Film Festival on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Dunaway will be featured in a live, in-person interview on Sunday, May 1 at 3 p.m. that will cover her life and career, set to take place at The Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in front of a live audience full of festival passholders. Her second appearance will take place when she introduces his film from 1976, "Network," a film that went on to garner four Academy Award wins, including an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role to Dunaway. The TCM Film Festival is taking place on April 28 - May 1, 2016, in the heart of Hollywood.

"Faye Dunaway has had an extraordinarily successful career spanning nearly six decades including winning the Academy Award for 'Network' and working alongside some of the best in the industry, such as Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson and Robert Redford," said TCM Host Robert Osborne. "She is one of the great beauties and magical leading ladies of film. It's going to be a great treat for our fans to hear from her first hand and her extraordinary life and career.

Dunway is being added to a short list of industry professionals that have participated in a long interviews at the festival Like the earlier interviews, the interview will be taped to air on a future date on the TCM Network. Stars interviewed in previous years include: two-time Oscar winner Luise Rainer, Peter O'Toole, Kim Novak, Eva Marie Saint, Alan Arkin and Norman Lloyd.

This year marks the seventh anniversary of the classic film festival that brings film fans from across the globe to meet classic film artists in person and watch a glorious plethora of classic and even silent films. This year, not only will Faye Dunaway be a presence, but the festival will also include appearances by filmmaker John Singleton, filmmaker Carl Reiner, actor Elliott Gould, Oscar-winning actress Eva Marie Saint, Golden Globe-winning actor Stacy Keach, actor and French actress Anna Karinawill.
