Jimmy Kimmel nabbed to host 2017 Oscars
Without the usual press release from the Academy of Motion Arts & Pictures, news surfaced today that late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, host of Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, will be hosting the 2017 Oscars. This will be the first time that Kimmel will host the biggest soiree of the awards circuit. Kimmel has gotten a lot of practice at hosting as he has hosted the Emmys twice, and the American Music Awards multiple times.
Kimmel announced on twitter today, "Yes, I am hosting the Oscars. This is not a prank. And if it is, my revenge on @TheAcademywill be terrible & sweet. Thx to @alsformalwear."
It's curious if the mention of Al's Formal Wear is a joke!
