‘La La Land,’ ‘Moonlight,’ and ‘Manchester by the Sea,’ top the 2017 Golden Globe Awards nominations

Actors Don Cheadle, Laura Dern, and Anna Kendrick announced the nominees for the 74th Golden Globe Awards this morning on December 12, 2017 in Beverly Hills, California. It was no surprise that the critics favorite “La La Land” topped the award nominations with seven, the independent hit “Moonlight” scored six nominations and “Manchester by the Sea” received five nominations.

In the TV categories, “The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” received five nominations and the new drama “This is Us,” was a big surprise with three nominations, including a nod for Best Drama. Meryl Streep will be receiving the illustrious Cecil B. DeMille Award. The Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Jimmy Fallon will air on Sunday, January 8 on NBC.
