Isabelle Huppert named Best Actress, Drama, for ‘Elle’ at 2017 Golden Globe Awards

Actress Isabelle Huppert has been honored with a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress, Drama, for her performance in “Elle” at the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards tonight, Sunday, January 8, 2017, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The yearly Golden Globe Awards are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and honor the best in motion pictures and television for the prior calendar year. Jimmy Fallon was the host of the celebration, bringing his unique brand of humor to the event. The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony was televised live on NBC.

In “Elle,” Michèle seems indestructible. Head of a successful video game company, she brings the same ruthless attitude to her love life as to business. Being attacked in her home by an unknown assailant changes Michèle's life forever. When she resolutely tracks the man down, they are both drawn into a curious and thrilling game-a game that may, at any moment, spiral out of control.

This is the first Golden Globe Award win for Isabelle Huppert.

“Elle” is not rated and has a run-time of 100 minutes.
