Meet Bryan Cranston & director Jay Roach of 'Trumbo' this Sunday

Cinémas Palme D'Or in Palm Desert presents an exclusive series of screenings of the new film "Trumbo," with three live, in-person Q&A sessions with the star Bryan Cranston and director Jay Roach of "Trumbo." These special and exclusive events take place this Sunday, November 15, 2016. The 6 pm and 7:15 pm screenings & Q&A's are sold out, but tickets still remain for the 3:30 pm screening and Q&A. These special events will be moderated by ESPN & KTTV personality and Cinémas Palme D'Or co-owner Steve Mason. Bryan Cranston is one of the most sought after actors today. He has been acting since he was 25 years old and after a successful turn on the sitcom "Malcolm in the Middle," Cranston was hired to star in the TV series that would forever change his trajectory as an actor - that series was "Breaking Bad." Cranston was given a rare opportunity for any actor - to create a character like none other. His portrayal of Walter White, a suburban high school science teacher, turned to the infamous drug lord Heisenberg - is the first lead character to begin as a protagonist and end as antagonist. His work in "Breaking Bad," won Cranston four Primetime Emmy's and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

Cranston took to the Broadway stage, once his "Breaking Bad," filming was complete, to portray President Lyndon B. Johnson in the play, "All the Way." This sell-out Broadway play won Cranston a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.

Some may say, that with his portrayal of Dalton Trumbo in "Trumbo," Cranston may be headed for Oscar attention as well - although Cranston, himself, seems not interested in the awards at all. Cranston, in a way, is celebrating his silver screen triumph by bringing his film to his home, as Cranston is also a co-owner of Cinémas Palme D'Or. The theater is the only theater in the Coachella Valley to show this Oscar caliber film.

Joining Cranston is Jay Roach, director of "Trumbo." Roach is mostly known for his "Meet the Parents" films and the "Austin Powers" films. Roach is the winner of four Primetime Emmys for 2012's "Game Change" and 2008's "Recount."

"Trumbo" is rated R for language including some sexual references and has a run-time of 124 minutes.
